This Week at Salem

OPERATION CHRISTMAS CHILD - Don't forget boxes are due THIS SUNDAY MORNING , November 23! We will deliver them to the local collection center after morning worship.

OUR "SHOEBOX SHOP" (Room 119) will be open from 9 am-noon on Saturday (November 22) for anyone who would like to help pack more Operation Christmas Child boxes! If you missed last Sunday night's packing party or just want to do more, we'd love to have your help. Remember, every single box represents a child - and every child means the opportunity to change a life, a family, or even a community with the love of Christ! We could still use more of the following items if you'd like to drop them by between now and Saturday: pencils, soap, washcloths, toothpaste and toothbrushes. Thank you for your support!

HAPPY 85TH BIRTHDAY! Please join us for a Birthday Celebration in honor of MARY JEAN McMANUS this Sunday, November 23 from 2-4 pm in Room 140. No gifts, please - your presence is the only gift requested!

LORD'S SUPPER - Our next observance of the Lord's Supper will be this Sunday evening, November 23.

CARD MINISTRY will NOT meet this Tuesday, November 25.

COMMUNITY THANKSGIVING SERVICE will be next Tuesday, November 25 at 6:30 pm at Salem. Please remember that there will be no evening activities on Wednesday, November 26, and the church office will be closed on Thursday and Friday, November 27-28.

NEW CHRISTMAS SERIES begins next Sunday, November 30 - Next Sunday we will begin a Christmas message series, "Song of Heaven". This new series will explore several of the announcements and responses surrounding the birth of Christ. We will have several free family resources at the Welcome Centers next Sunday to encourage every family to join with the "Song of Heaven" as we celebrate Christmas.

ANGEL TREE - if you took a name off the Angel Tree, please remember gifts must be returned to the church by Sunday, December 7. Also, if you were unable to get a name, you can still help by donating $50 gift cards for the officers' families at the Detention Facility.

LOTTIE MOON POST OFFICE - Still a bargain at 20 cents, you can send Christmas cards to anyone in the church! The Royal Ambassadors will open the mailboxes on November 30 and will collect cards through December 23. Drop your cards and money off at the front and rear entrances. All funds will go to International Missions.

MEN'S WINTER RETREAT - December 12-13 at Wafloy Mountain Village. Speaker: Rev. Allen James, Music - Mark Beeler. Cost is $65 per person, which includes Friday night dinner and Saturday breakfast. Contact Mark Durfee for info and sign up in the foyer.

STAMPS ARE NEEDED for the Card Ministry - when you buy a book of stamps for home, please consider buying an extra book to help with postage for our card ministry! You can put them in the Stamp Box in the main foyer. Thank you!
